RACR Releases

Many items supported by the RACR team are released as needed, or relative to other system releases or events. The following list includes items that are made available to a multi-school or university-wide audience based on a particular release date.

April 2026 Releases

Harvard Analytics and Reporting Tool (HART): April 29, 2026
Iterative dashboard enhancements.

Enterprise Dashboard Updates
Change to the expected results on the Proposals dashboard, and additional prompts and enhancements to lookups.

  • Proposals: Update to results with new navigation to GMAS Requests lookup for more details
    • Change to calculation: All proposal submissions are now counted, even if they will be revised to resubmit or indicated as a prior version in GMAS.   
    • Links to details navigate to a pre-filtered view of the GMAS Requests lookup format dashboard.
  • Expenses: Ability to view Modified Total Direct Cost (MTDC) at the summary-level
    • New dropdown option in the bottom section (containing tables of results), where the view of expenses can be switched between F&A (Facilities and Administrative) and Subawards. F&A is chosen by default.
  • Invalid Code Combinations (new): Shows all tubs and orgs for selection in prompt/filters, allowing for easier validation and facilitating the use of saved customizations in HART.
  • GMAS Segments: Count metric modal update to show name of corresponding item listed
  • Lookup dashboards:
    • Additional prompt choosers for Sponsors including Direct or Pass-through and Federal/Non-Federal for sponsors (including direct and ultimate).
    • Minor background fix to column chooser xml

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

  • NEW! Invalid Code Combinations: New replacement dashboard includes all the information of the prior dashboard, with additional context.
  • Grants Financial includes the following new features:
    • Updated links to the Transaction listing to check HART role:
      • If you can access Transaction Details, links to Transaction Details will show.
      • If you can access Summary information, links to Summary Comp will show.
      • If you do not have access to financial data in HART, no links will display.
    • Added link to account details, above the left account selection menu. Displays account and segment level details per account for view and export.
    • Display allocated total in the account details panel on the right (in addition to the summary listing on the left).
    • Additional message to add a fund when one is missing (no longer displaying static instruction text)
  • Proposals, Awards and Expenses: Correct a bug related to the hierarchical display of Tub and Org in prompts/ filters.
  • RACR Landing Page on-screen text is revised.
    • New dashboards improve functionality and replace former GM dashboards, the older versions are now marked as Legacy.
    • Additional link for the new Invalid Code Combinations dashboard.

Ad Hoc Report Update 

  • Update methodology to unreconciled equipment report to eliminate risk of timeout.
  • Expanded scope of the International Collaborations and Activities monitoring report to include an additional area.

February 2026 Release

    • Ability to set start and end period for expenses
    • New Period Expense Report download which shows account expenses by month, over the last 24 periods of expenses
  • GMAS Notices has refined analysis for more efficient display of results.
  • RACR Landing Page on-screen text is revised.
