Release of dashboard updates.

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

• The New Grants Financial dashboard has been updated to include the following features:
  • Click to a pre-filtered view of Printable Grants Financial (classic view).
  • Minor adjustments to multiselect functionality.
• Printable Grants Financial (classic view) is now referencing a modern data model in the background, and the following two bugs are fixed:
  • Correct budget data now displays (prior version showed incorrect budget data in some cases)
  • Not-enabled object codes with expenses show on the report (prior version did not display any reference to these object codes and related expenses)
• Additional prompts/flags for the Lookup format dashboards:
  • GMAS Requests: Cost Share and Participant Support Costs flags
  • GMAS Segments and shared across all lookups for segment-level data:
    • Committed cost sharing added to Award dollars section
    • Cost share expenses added to Financials section

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

The Financial Deliverables dashboard is now available. This new dashboard contains flexible filtering features to allow for various additional findability and analysis that were not otherwise available before.

Harvard Analytics and Reporting Tool (HART): October 3, 2025 (after 8pm ET)
Release of the first iteration of the New Grants Financial dashboard along with minor additional report updates.

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

The New Grants Financial dashboard is now available for a first look review and feedback. This new dashboard has simplified navigation and views to support easier review and management of sponsored project financial health.

Additional minor adjustments to dashboards:

• GMAS Segments: update to the modal that displays when clicking on action memo count metrics.
• Awards, Proposals and Expenses: Headings on the detail lists continue to display, even when scrolling down.
• Expenses: Correct issue so billing agreements are no longer included/ accounted into the results.

• New exception report to notify reviewers when a Covered Individual is added to projects sponsored by the USDA.

June 2025 Release

Harvard Analytics and Reporting Tool (HART): June 23, 2025

GMAS Accounts release, with enhanced data availability across lookup dashboards including the ability to filter and find by segment label.

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

• The new GMAS Accounts dashboard is now available. This new dashboard contains over 50 data elements specific to accounts, allowing for various additional analysis that were not otherwise available before.
• Bookmarks and saved customizations are now checked across the suite of Summary and Lookup dashboards. If a bookmark or saved customization may be corrupted by recent upgrade activity, an on-screen message will appear with a link to instructions to re-create, newly save, and discard old versions.
• Background permissions have been corrected across the catalog.
• The following dashboards have additional prompt and column updates:
  • GMAS Receivables includes a revision to days past due calculation, so it aligns with GMAS
  • GMAS Requests includes the new columns ‘Created by’ and ‘Sponsor tracking number’
  • GMAS Segments shows select count metrics columns by default
  • All Lookup Dashboards include
    • Segment labels
    • Nickname
    • Ability to search for PI or mentor by name in one field
    • Status, with grouping (increasing visibility into secondary status)

Enterprise Dashboard Updates

As of this release, two new dashboards are available in the new format; enabling faster searching and finding while also enhancing flexible custom reporting and monitoring. ​

• GMAS Receivables, replacing Sponsored Receivables (Legacy)
• GMAS Non-Financial Deliverables, completely new

This release also includes a fix to Proposals “Fiscal Year to Date”, addressing an issue with charts where the chart and table view now match.

• There is now functionality to add custom messaging to dashboards. Page visitors will see new alerts and information if there are items to consider when visiting new and more importantly, legacy dashboards.
• New and expanded tooltips across the new dashboard format.
• Correct an issue with GMAS Notice dashboard display results. 

November 2024 Release
Harvard Analytics and Reporting Tool (HART): Available November 23, 2024

Enterprise Dashboard Updates
As of this release, two new dashboards are now available in the new format:

• GMAS Requests, replacing Requests (Legacy)
• GMAS Notices, completely new

These new dashboards support finding project attributes, filtering funding, and answering questions. Far beyond previous dashboards in HART classic, these new highly flexible dashboards allow you to expand filters and ​customize display of over 40 columns ​of data. ​ 

Additionally, the following dashboards and dashboard elements are also updated:

• GMAS Segments dashboard is enhanced for increased extend-ability and includes additional columns.
• There is revised labeling across the new dashboards to enhance navigation, including naming and font sizing changes.
• Updates to the Landing Page include links to the new dashboards and references from the legacy dashboards.
• A total count to-date bug is fixed on the Proposals and Awards dashboards.

Far beyond what you have ever seen before in HART classic, the new highly flexible dashboard allows you to expand filters, and customize display of over 50 columns of data.  
  
  With these new interactive functions, you can “save customizations” to keep a set of personalized reports, ready for use at any time. Note that as the dashboard is enhanced in the coming months, any saved customizations will need to be fixed/updated.

  • For each of the new executive Proposals, Awards, and Expenses dashboards members of the grant manager community can navigate into details using click-able links in dashboard table views.

• GMAS is retiring certain request ‘carry forward’ columns, in preparation, we have stopped pulling request carry forward columns from GMAS and the warehouse. Note: These tables are not applicable to export accounts.

• GMAS plans to retire the column paycode from letter of credit table. To support this effort, we began removing the DWH connection to this column in the Jan ‘24 DWH release. After the Jan release we discovered letter of credit key information needed further adjustments in organization and segments tables:
  • Correct mapping of letter of credit key column in organizations.
  • The key was used as a key from segments to letter of credit. To restore the functionality that was there, the key column will be available on segments (and associated segments tables). 

Note: Report developers previously using paycode from the segment table can use letter of credit key  as a way to join segments to letters of credit.
